Love this place for bagels, cold sandwiches and my current breakfast staple: BLT on a roll or plain bagel. The staff are friendly, quick and they have really fresh ingredients. Happy to have say I'm a regular. FYI, they are supper busy in the AM hence not getting to their phone - stop by in person if possible.
This was the first-time ordering a sandwich from Mill Basin Bagels Cafe so place your order before paying or else you will be waiting an EXTREMELY LONG TIME - a word to the wise. When I desire a thick bagel (sesame, egg, cinnamon raisin), I drive directly to Avenue N to visit Mill Basin Bagel Cafe. In the past, I always visited the borough of Manhattan for a (sesame / egg) bagel with lox, scallion schmear (cream cheese), and red onion along with some other condiments. However, Mill Basin Bagel Cafe surprisingly lived up to the expectation of bagel, lox, scallion cream cheese, and red onion with the perfect taste being savory, spicy, smooth, velvety, and buttery with every bite. As the pictures denote, the schmear should have been much thicker with an increased amount of red onions bursting from the bagel.
